Article for students: How can you help schools who need funding for music programs?

Music is awesome! It allows you express yourself, challenge yourself, and collaborate with others. But sometimes, schools don’t have sufficient music program budgets. So, if you love music and want to make sure everyone gets the chance to learn and play, here are some ways you can help:

1. Reach out to Local Businesses 🎻

Many businesses in your town want to help schools. They might be willing to donate money or even instruments to your music program! You can help by telling your school to ask local businesses if they want to sponsor or support music events. In return, the businesses could get their name showcased at a concert or event. It’s a win-win!

2. Create Fun Fundraisers 🎻

You and your friends can organize fun events to raise money for your music program- bake sales, a talent shows, concerts. You could even create a cool t-shirt or poster and sell them to raise money. The more creative, the better! Don’t forget to ask your teachers and parents to help get the word out and make it even bigger!

You can also ask your school to set up a campaign on websites like GoFundMe. Share it with friends and family on social media and ask them to donate or tell other people who might help. The more people who hear about it, the more money your school can get!
